Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation launched 7 skill centers to make Krishna University students employable

Machilipatnam : The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation has sanctioned as many as seven skill development centres (SDC) for Krishna University (KRU).

Skill development centres have been designed to train students in various employment-oriented courses and hone their communication skills apart from offering various online courses free of cost. A team of experts in the respective filed will also be attached to each skill development centre based on the option to be chosen by students.

The students, who are pursuing graduation or post-graduation courses are eligible to join the centre. The seven SDCs will start functioning from this week at Krishna University main campus at Machilipatnam, Government Degree College at Movva and Avanigadda, Triveni Womens College and Andhra Layola College in Vijayawada, SGS College in Vissannapeta.

“We have received all the necessary infrastructure required to set up the SDC. The infrastructure facilities include computers and other content,” Krishna University director of admissions D. Rama Sekhara Reddy has told The Hindu. “The SDCs will help students to equip with extra skills apart from their regular academic courses.”
