The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) with assistance of Siemens Corporation proposes to open a Technical Skill Development Institute in Sri City for training the youth with a definite focus on skill development and vocational training.
A three member team head by Mr. Nageswara Rao of Gannavaram Polytechnic, Department of Technical Education, who was deputed by APSSDC, visited Sri City on Wednesday. They had a meeting with Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation and discussed regarding the scope of training courses and the supports needed. Later, they visited the premises of the Industrial Training Institute(ITI) at Tada and inspected the available facilities. In this place Sri City has already been running a skill development course.
Thanking the state government for taking the initiative, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, MD, Sri City mentioned, “Sri City will extend all its support and act as a catalyst for yielding fruitful results in developing skills among the local people and opening doors for a better future.”
