Visakhapatnam: The State government signed an MoU with GITAM university here on Saturday to establish Centre of Excellence and Fintech ecosystem skill building in the university campus.
The Fintech Skill development centre is first-of-its-kind in the country. The State government IT Advisor J A Chowdary and GITAM university Vice-Chancellor Prof.M S Prasada Rao exchanged the MoU documents in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
As per the agreement, the State government and GITAM university to collaborate and work towards building the new State embarking on a number of technology initiatives to make the State attractive for technology companies to set up operations, as well as to improve the employability of the students and professionals through various strategic focus areas like Fintech ecosystem development in Visakhapatnam. Initially, 60 seats would be made available for the students and senior executives of the IT companies will be the faculty.
