Sixty displaced Kashmiri Pandits women today received certificates from Apparel Sector Skill Council (ASSC) under the Skill Development Mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jammu and Kashmir Minister of State for Tourism, Priya Sethi was the chief guest at the event. While speaking at the conclusion function of the first ever batch of certified KP displaced women from Jagti under Recognition of Prior Learning Program (RPL), she said “it is a matter of pride that women of the state have come forward to join the skill development mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” She also distributed certificates among the participating women.
The level-4 skill development program was organised by the All India Kashimri Samaj with collaboration of Apparel Sector Skill Council of India and Kashyap Educational Economic & Charitable Society was NGO partner of the program in which the batch of 60 women has got training for cutting and tailoring.
MLC Surinder Ambardar, Vice-Chancellor, Central University, Jammu Prof Ashok Aima, CEO, Apparel Sector Skill Council, Government Of India Roopak Vashistha, Moti Koul, Raj Nehru and prominent members of the community were present on the occasion.
