Yingkiong: A week-long skill development training programme being conducted by the district administration on English language, beauticulture-cum-orientation programme on agri-allied sector, basic health care began at Tourist Hall, here on Tuesday amidst the presence of a large number of PRI members.
During the training programme which was sponsored by PHED Parliamentary Secretary, Alo Libang, GPTI, a Vocational Training Provider (VTP) headed by its CEO, Topu Basar (Ete) along with various HoDs were the resource persons. The trainees included all ZPMs, ASMs, GPMs of the Anchal Blocks of the 34-Tuting-Yingkioong assembly segment.
In his inaugural address, Upper Siang DC Remo Kamki informed them that the government has earmarked 10% of scheme/projects of developments like BAD, MSDP, RD, agri-allied sectors and others for imparting skill development training to the people at the grassroots-level. ADC Tapik Pertin, DPO Sangha Babung, Nyokgon Nitik ZPM Api Kombo also spoke on the occasion. Among others EAC (D), Adong Pertin, DFO, Anying Boli and DFDO Kembom Chisi were also present.
