Dantewada : Giving a boost to employment in the region, Dantewada has recently opened, ‘Yuva’, a BPO with world-class infrastructure and amenities, in the restive district. Located in the Education City of Jawanga, ‘Yuva’ has started its operations by providing technical and soft-skills training to over 450 youth, the number only to swell to 1000+, by end of March. Managed by Sixth Generation Technologies, a web-developer, e-commerce & SEO service provider, ‘Yuva’ will provide BPO services to Airtel, NIT Infotech and banks like ICICI, HDFC, Induslnd Bank and Bank of America.
Excited on this new enterprise, Saurabh Kumar, District Collector, Dantewada said, “From skill development to innovation and entrepreneurship, the youth of Dantewada are excelling in all fields. ‘Yuva’ is yet another endeavour in providing a corporate platform and making the youth of the district, confident, self-reliant and responsible. Through effective PPP model, we want to create more and more opportunities for the under-served and break every glass ceiling that impedes the progress of the district.” For better job preparedness, comprehensive training is being provided to the youth under the Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (MMKVY). The students will be equipped with computer typing and effective communications skills alongside providing basic technical and operations knowledge.
For making more headway, monthly remuneration of Rs.8,000 – Rs.14,000 to the employees; affordable accommodation; and concessional travel fares are some of the incentives being offered by Dantewada District Administration, routed through the District Project Livelihood College Society, Dantewada. Flexibility is being offered by limiting the educational qualification to 10th/ 12th pass and restricting signing of any bonds with the candidates.
To ensure ‘Yuva’ sees the light of the day, private companies were encouraged and loans from District Mineral Foundation were provided at 0 % interest rate. Young pool of talent from remote areas of Chhattisgarh like Bastar, Bhopalpatnam, Durgukondal, Maharakarka, Bhogamguda, Sameli and Bargudra will be provided jobs because of this BPO.
‘Yuva’ is a testimony of a perfect marriage between Digital India and Skill India hereby creating, a healthy digital eco-system and equipping the youth with savvy skills. It promises to be another noteworthy initiative in creating a participatory framework of basic empowerment and improve direct line of communication with the youth.
