Hyderabad: In an effort to strengthen industry- academia collaboration, CII-Godrej GBC and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on Monday inked an MoU in exploring new growth opportunities in environmental management and also develop new and enriching educational modules to address ecological issues and concerns and in the process enable the students gain the competitive advantage.
The MoU was inked by Anil Kumar Epur, member, CII Godrej GBC Advisory Board and past chairman, CII -SR and N Yadaiah, registrar, JNTUH in the presence of professor A Venugopal Reddy, vice-chancellor, JNTU Hyderabad.
Professor A Venugopal Reddy said that students working with industry on internship and other projects will become future ready and get exposed to new ideas and concepts. Capacity building of staff and students is very critical and partnerships of this nature is important, he added.
As part of the MoU, CII and JNTU Hyderabad will focus on development of academic programmes/ courses/ e-learning modules in various areas of energy efficiency, waste management, renewable sources energy; capacity building and skill development programmes; outreach and awareness programmes.
