Delhi Deputy CM urged industry to come forward for skill development curriculum designing

New Delhi : Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia while peaking at the Annual Regional Meeting of CII Northern Region on ‘Building A Competitive North’, Sisodia said that the curriculum should be made relevant for students. He sought industry’s participation in designing curriculum in government-run training centres as per the market’s needs.

“We are making things online and easy for industry and trade…Skill development and education is feeder for the industry and we are working on that,” he added.

Delhi government is working on imparting quality skills in youth so that they get good employment opportunities, he said urging the industry to come forward and work on framing a “perfect” training centre.

“We also need to evaluate the work going on in the skill centres to improve the quality. The focus on skill development would go a long way in bringing about a positive change.,” Sisodia said.

“I suggest industry come forward and interact with the government-run training centres to convey their skill requirements so as to fulfil the needs of the industry,” the Deputy Chief Minister added.
