Pasighat: The training for the selected candidates as beauticians and IT/ITES under Employment through Skill Training and Placement under the scheme of NULM (National Urban Livelihood Mission) was formally inaugurated by Pasighat Municipal Council, ADC cum MEO, Rahul Singh on Friday.
The training is being imparted by All India Society for Electronic and Computer Technology (AISECT), a training partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a Govt. of India undertaking.
Addressing the trainees, MEO Rahul Singh stated that, the Government has initiated the programme to fill the gap between the demand and the availability of local skills by providing skill training programme as required by the market. He exhorted all the trainees to take the training seriously and dedicatedly so that they can manage sustainable livelihood. The MEO also appealed to the trainers to develop proper modules so that the trainees are properly taught.
Area Manager, AISECT, Arunachal Pradesh, Paktin Bagbi informed that the society’s top priority is job placement for the trainees after the training which has been tied up with various companies.
Municipal Secy., Tani Taloh informed that the objective of the programme is to provide skill training as well as to upgrade existing skills to the urban poor in form of skills for sustainable livelihood. The certified course can provide salaried jobs or self employment opportunities which will ensure inclusive growth with increased contribution of skilled urban poor to the National Economy, added Taloh.
