Chennai : The Federation of Indian Export Organizations (Southern Region) has congratulated the chief minister Jayalalithaa for the proposal to impart skill development training to two lakh youths under the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Mission and allocation of Rs150 crore for the same in the state budget. It also urged the state government to include organizations such as Federation of Indian Export Organizations and Tirupur Exporters’ Association as implementing agencies so that programmes can be focused based on the industrial need.
Regional manager of FIEO A Sakthivel also appreciated allocation of Rs2,000 crore for the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Development Fund and Rs100 crore for the project preparation fund. Sakthivel thanked the chief minister for the announcement of establishing new maternal and child health centres at Tirupur at a cost of Rs20 crore under the National Health Mission and also for allocating fund for development of road between Tirupur and Oddanchatram.
