Imphal (Manipur) : Governor Najma Heptulla underscored the need to take up skill development on floriculture, medicinal Plants and black rice based small scale industries in Manipur. She shared “How the demand for organic agricultural product and herbs based ayurvedic and traditional medication is increasing not only in the country but abroad as well”.
Jobs can be created by imparting proper skill development training to the younger generation, Heptullla said while inaugurating the one day workshop on skill devopment at Raj Bhawan here.
The Governor said that 17 experts are coming from the union ministry of skill development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi to impart skill development training to the youths of the state.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said Manipur government is giving top priority to health and power sectors in which positive results can be achieved within a few years.
Labour Minister T Manga Vaiphei also spoke about the importance of being skilled in the function jointly organized by the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship and National Skill Development Corporation.
