Gujarat Skill Development Mission (GSDM) organized seminar on “Employment Linked Skill Development”

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) :  As a run-up to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017, Gujarat Skill Development Mission (GSDM) under the aegis of Labour and Employment Department Government of Gujarat in coordination with UNDP (Partner Organization), KPMG (Knowledge Partner) and CII (National Partner) organized a pre-summit seminar on ” Employment Linked Skill Development ” at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while inaugurating the seminar said that the foundation to transform India in to a developed nation is skill development.

Sharing a brief about the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017, Vijay Rupani highlighted India’s image has improved considerably due to the various initiatives taken by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He pressed upon the need to have universities in various disciples to enable the skill ecosystem.

He proudly mentioned the presence of universities in different disciples present in Gujarat. He also proudly shared that since last 13 years, Gujarat stood first in providing employment to the candidates through Employment Exchanges and Gujarat had achieved top position in the country in the placement of SC, ST and women candidates. He ended by quoting the slogan ‘Shramev Jayate’ for India to march ahead in the areas of skill development and entrepreneurship.
