Gurugram: To boost the job opportunities among the youth of the city as well as within the state, besides providing the industrial training, the Haryana Government skills center will also teach foreign languages like German and Japanese to the students. The decision to teach foreign languages was taken as there are a large number of multinational companies mainly from Japan have their headquarters in Gurugram.
With job creation being a major issue in the state, the emphasis on opening multiple skill centers in the richest district of the state has been long emphasized by the Government. There were also a large number of allocations made in this regard in the state budget. Not only the MNCs but the government has also mentioned that the skill education will also help the applicants in the burgeoning industrial units in the city. The head of the state raised the significance of micro small-scale medium enterprises in absorbing the growing number of job aspirants.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated that while 37,000 aspirants have been placed after skill development, their target was over two lakh placements. With over 8,000 MSME, Gurugram is the leader in the state in the small-scale enterprises. Auto ancillary, information technology and garment exports for long have played a crucial role in propelling the region’s economy.
