Kurukshetra : Kurukshetra University (KU) has announced Short Term Skill Development Courses for the session 2019-20 on Friday.
Nodal Officer of Rashtriya Uchhachhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) released the admission schedule of the skill courses in KU. The university will offer skill courses in science, digital media, management, tourism, Vastu Shastra and in various other disciplines.
KU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Kailash Chandra Sharma said, “These courses are the golden opportunity for the students and other stakeholders of the society to enhance their skills in various disciplines. The main objective is to make the student capable and competent for the industry.”

Nodal Officer RUSA Prof Manjula Chaudhary while announcing the admission schedule of the Short Term Courses said, “The Kurukshetra University is starting certificate course in Chemical Laboratory Assistant, Practical Aspects of Quantum Chemical, Chemical Calculation, Quality Control and Quality Assurance, Graphic Design, Online Fact Checking, and Digital Media Skills, Retails Sale Skills, Heritage Walk and Entrepreneurship in Heritage Tourism, Vastu Shastra and Indian Interior Design, Certificate course in Marathi Language.”
Prof Manjula added that the students who want to take admission in these courses can apply up to October 31, 2019.
Recently, KU has established centre for skill development and centre for continuing education under RUSA campaign of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. To meet out the demand of the industry, KU will invite renowned professionals from different fields to train the students with latest equipment and techniques. These courses will develop a linkage between the university and the industry that will hold the varsity to meet out the expectation of the youths of this region.
