After “Saksham Yuva Scheme”, Haryana Govt planning ‘Allowance to Employers’ and ‘Honorarium to 12th pass’ to accelerate skill development

Faridabad : After launching ‘Saksham Yuva Scheme’ to give employment opportunities to post graduate unemployed youth,  Haryana Government is now planning to give honorarium to XII pass youths for three years. Not only this, for  Employers in Haryana who provide jobs to unemployed youth will now get an allowance from the government, state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said.

The Chief Minister Manohar Lal announced this while inaugurating a session on ‘youth empowerment, enhancing job opportunities in Haryana’ at Haryana International Trade Expo (HITEX) in Faridabad, a 5-day expo organized jointly by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, started on 26th March.

He also said that the state government is planning an honorarium of Rs 6000 the class XII pass youth, which will be provided for three years. “The government will provide one month unemployment allowance of Rs 3000 to those entrepreneurs who provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth in Haryana,” Khattar said.

The State Government is working on skill development in addition providing qualitative and employable education to the youth. Skill Development Mission has been set up the state and work on setting up Skill Development University has been started in Palwal district. The Government is contemplating to add courses in the curriculum in the final year to make the students eligible for employment, he said.

Under ‘Saksham Yuva Scheme’, each youth enrolled gets Rs 9,000 per month, including Rs3,000 as unemployment allowance and the remaining amount is paid as honorarium in lieu of 100 hours of work, he added.

He said the unemployed youth should register themselves at Saksham Portal and begin a new life by getting a job or through self employment.

This Portal will also provided access to entrepreneurs, who will be able to select their workforce from the portal as per their needs and could offer them jobs, he said. Khattar said that the number of soldiers hailing from Haryana in the armed forces is large, so his government has urged the Defence Ministry to open special recruitment centres in the state.
