Faridabad : Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister Mool Chand Sharma inaugurated Industry Meet ceremony at Shri Vishwakarma Skill Development University in Dudhola of Palwal district on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, Mr Sharma said that Shri Vishwakarma Kaushal Vishwavidyalaya (SVSU), Dudhola (Palwal) is the first university in the country which has been offering skill development courses for students.
He said that SVSU is the first university in the country that has been preparing skilled professionals in the profession of plumber to electrician. He informed that that the syllabus of Skill University is designed in such a way that students can earn while studying to support their family and this university will prove to be a milestone in
providing employment to the youth.

Showing his concern over the safety of the students, the Minister of Skill Development also inquired the entrepreneurs who have been attending the program about the facilities provided to the trainees in case of any mishap during training in the institute. Over this, the entrepreneurs told that all needful facilities have been provided to the students and group insurance and medical facility have been provided by the company and the
skill development university.
Mr Sharma also signed MOUs with several companies on the occasion.
Greeting the guests on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Raj Nehru said that the university was started in 2016 with strength of 60 students in two courses and today 3,000 students have been pursuing training in about 31 type of courses in the university. He informed that university classes are also being organized in Gurugram. The Vice Chancellor informed that university students are also sent in companies for practical training, where students can earn along with training.
