Shimla : Governor Acharya Devvrat awarded certificates to the employees of different departments who got training in skill development during a function organized by Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam in collaboration with IL & FS at Raj Bhavan.
On this occasion, the Governor said that the employees who have received training, their skill should be seen practically in the field and the work should be enriched and varied. “Skill means ability and competence of doing any task which is Yoga in itself as described in Baghvad Geeta”, said Acharya Devvrat.
He congratulated all the employees who received the training of skill development and expressed hope that they would perform better in their respective fields and set an example for others.
The Governor said that the Prime Minister wants to link future generation with skill development, so that talented youth could express themselves better in their work and get excellent opportunities in their fields. He said that there were two types of people in any service sector. One who influences others with their efficiency and some others only spend time. But, the skilled person was a strong link between the society and the institution, he added.
Earlier, Principal Secretary Industries, Horticulture and Technical Education R. D. Dhiman detailed about the various activities being implemented by the Center and the State Government towards skill development.
Advisor to Governor Dr. Shashikant Sharma, Director, Information Technology and Managing Director, Skill Development Corporation, Rohan Chand Thakur, Additional Secretary, GAD Manoj Tomar, General Manager, Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam Dr. Anurita Saxena and other officials were also present on this occasion.
