New Delhi : UDAY (Brand of AVTEG Pvt. Ltd) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hima Industrial Corporation to set-up 10 centres nationwide to skill 5000 youth in green jobs under a new joint venture partnership.
The first Green Jobs Centre of Excellence (COE) will be set-up in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh. This Centre of Excellence will be 100% solar powered, contributing to Prime Minister Mr Narender Modi’s vision of a clean and green India. According to reports, India’s renewable energy capacity will be more than double by 2022. Solar power is expected to be one of the biggest contributors to enhanced green power in India.
This joint venture envisions to promote skill development among youth of India and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to them. The aim is also to nurture green jobs in our country as we have vast untapped renewable energy resources.
UDAY, as the lead vocational education and training organisation, will provide vocational training to trainees under various government schemes in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and North-Eastern states. All the trainees will be assessed and certified by Skill Council for Green Jobs. Hima will employ the certified graduates for their projects across its various sites in India.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of Mr Prakash Sharma (National Skill Development Corporation, CFO) by Mr Parampreet Singh (Managing Director and Founder, UDAY) and Mr Prabhat Singh Bhumbla (Owner, Hima Industrial Corporation).
