Displaced women and youths to get skill training: CM Raghbuar Das

Ranchi : Chief Minister Raghbuar Das on Sunday said that displacement has been a major issue in the State. He said that land from people is taken for development work and the land owners are left displaced.

“However, our government believes that the person giving their land for development work is the real owner. We are working towards making rehabilitating them before taking away their lands,” Das said.

CM said this while attending a plantation drive at the rehabilitation and restoration colony situated at Kute. The colony has been constructed for the people who were displaced at for the making of new assembly building.

“This colony is an example,” he said, adding that the colony will be named after freedom fighter Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo.

“The colony will be known as Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo Colony. The government has done plantation in the colony, now it is your responsibility to look after the saplings and help them grow into trees,” the CM said addressing the residents.
