Bengaluru : The KASSIA Skill Development Centre – Master CAM and CNC training unit have been inaugurated in the city to promote skill development across sectors and increase productive employment in different segments of the economy.
Muralidhar Halappa, Chairman, Karnataka Vocational Training And Skill Development Corporation Ltd, inaugurated the Centre.
Addressing the members of KASSIA, he said that the Karnataka Government had greatly encouraged skill development and training in various skills with a view to promoting productive employment in different segments of the economy.
He said that the Government had plans to create lakhs of jobs for the unemployed by means of useful training in various vocations.
Responding to the plea earlier made by the President of Kassia, R.Hanumanthe Gowda, Muralidhar Halappa assured that the Government would extend all support to the KASSIA Skill Development Centre extending necessary financial support and also expansion of the activity into the various districts.
Gowda, President, KASSIA outlined the work being done in KASSIA in the Skill Development area and sought the support of the Government for effectively in carrying out the plans.
The President also spoke about the proposed Kassia Centre of Excellence and Innovation Project and requested the Chairman to release atleast Rs.1 crore towards the Centre.
