Thiruvananthapuram : The State government’s Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) is launching ‘She Skills’ to equip females above 15 years of age with job skills and to help them improve their communication, leadership, and organisational abilities. Training modules under She Skills would be launched in August this year, Higher Education Minister K.T. Jaleel said here on Wednesday.
“ASAP is offering a wide choice of courses, which include retail, banking, apparel, beauty and wellness, and food processing,” Dr. Jaleel said.
In the first phase, 9,000 women will be trained. Each of the courses will have a duration of 150 hours or more, and the training will be provided through selected training service providers.
