Webinar held on ‘Challenges in Technical Education and Accreditation’

Bhopal : CII Madhya Pradesh organized a webinar focusing ‘Challenges in Technical Education and Accreditation’. The webinar was held at AISECT University. A state level panel on “Skill Development and Higher Education” has been formed by CII.

Chairman of National Board of Accreditation, K.K. Agarwal was present as the keynote speaker and gave his views on the changes in technical education and innovations resulting from the new education policy due to Covid-19.

During this, Aggarwal said that there is a need for integration in the education system of the country. He told by example that in America a person can study Economics along with Medical studies. But such a system is yet to be built in our country. He explained that this is the way in which innovation can be promoted.

He further said that the education institutes of our country should be such that students can design their own degrees. Highlighting the problems arising out of Covid-19, he said that it emerged as a multidisciplinary problem and not just health related. It has also tested our education system.

He further informed about the achievement of the re-election of India as a member in Washington Accord. Apart from this Aggarwal, giving information about accreditation system said that it is important to have an income-based education system.

In the main panel of the webinar, Chairman of CII Bhopal Zone and convener of the panel on Higher Education and Skills formed by CII, Siddharth Chaturvedi and Co-Convenor B.S. Yadav was present. More than 200 people from industry and academis were also present.
