Maharashtra Government started training of 300 youngsters to operate drones

Mumbai : With the use of drones increasing gradually in various fields, the state government’s skill development department has started training 300 youngsters across the state on how to effectively operate drones.

An official from the skill development department informed that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with 140 institutions and industries to train the youth on operating drones and better their chances at gaining employment.

The state government has started training these people in state-of-the-art fields such as artificial intelligence and robotics. The official informed, that in recent past, the Union Government had come out with a policy allowing the use of drones in various fields. Many builders are now planning to use them for various projects.

The training has been imparted to youth in cities like Kolhapur, Nashik, Aurangabad, and Nagpur and they are now earning well. After considering the use of drones at present, the scope of this training will be increased further, informed the official.
