Nashik: This year Nashik district has more than 20,000 polytechnic seats and 33,000 seats in 31 trades in various industrial training institutes across the district.
Industrial training institutes (ITI) and polytechnic courses offer admission after Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam. They are the preferred choice for those who want to go for professional and skill-based courses to get early employment before pursuing engineering admissions. ITI is preferred by students who aspire to get pro-employment education and grab jobs in the industry.
The directorate of vocational education and training (DVET) announced centralized admission process (CAP) for industrial training institutes (ITIs) across the state in the first week of June. CAP will begin on June 19 and completed by August 31 after five rounds.
It may be noted that all technical institutes in the state are providing free counseling for an hour to ITI aspirants from June 21. The official website for ITI admissions is— http://admission.dvet.gov.in/
