Nashik among ten districts under Skill India’s SANKALP

Nashik: Nashik has been selected as the beneficiary for central government’s Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) under the National Skill Development Mission. The district skill committee will now prepare a programme to provide training for people in various sectors, resident deputy collector Bhagwat Doifode said.

Doifode chaired the district skill development executive meeting organized by the District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre (DSDE&EGC).

“Under the SANKALP initiative, the government aims at providing and honing skills of people either from their respective fields or freshers depending upon their abilities, thus providing them with self-employment opportunities and getting jobs as supplementary,” the officer said.
