MP govt to train 2 lakh women every year in different skill development programs

Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh state government will train 2 lac women per year on skill development said Kalpana Srivastava, Principal Secretary Technical Education. She was speaking at the seminar “Women Education-Socio and Economic scenario” held by state government.

‘The gap in literacy levels acts as a hurdle in the development of the state’,said  Michael Juma, Chief, UNICEF Madhya Pradesh in his address at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration at Bhopal. He further added that ‘inclusive social-economic development, then we must empower the most deprived and socially excluded people particularly children and women’.

Adding on Kanchan Jain, Director General of RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration stressed on the need of going beyond literacy. Sachin Sinha, Director, RCVP Noronha Academy of administration shared his presentation in literacy gap, low transition rate, quality of learning, transportation, water and sanitation and societal issue and employment.

F.A. Jami UNICEF Education Specialist Madhya Pradesh and Anil Gulati UNICEF Communication Specialist Madhya Pradesh spoke on the issues and challenges of girl’s education, factors which are impediment to it and women and economic activity. Anil Gulati while quoting economic census said India which is around 13.76 % of the total number of establishments are under women entrepreneurship while in MP 2.77 percent.
