Nagaland : Skill Alli- the Kraft junction was launched by SDO (civil) Tuensang, Thungbemo Patton at Chumukedima.
Addressing the gathering, Patton lauded the members of Skill Alli for encouraging artisans and craftsmen and also for providing a sustainable and employable avenue.
He asked the artisans and craftsmen to inculcate positive attitude and encourage one another. Also speaking at the launching programme, deputy director of Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSME) Er. Tali Longchar highlighted on the formation of MSME and asked the team to be focussed and work with consistency. He pointed out the need for appropriate policy of industries in the state to generate employment by adopting innovative policies.
Longchar also underscored the core competency of skills which includes entrepreneurship skills, personal skills, business skills and the importance of legal registration and data balancing.
It may be mentioned that Skill Alli is a social enterprise established in 2017 by like-minded people comprising of Imli Pongen as co-founder and manager, James as co-founder and technical advisor, along with supporting team. The enterprise was formed with the motive to introduce and support talent (s) into wide-ranging opportunities, to enable and empower the upcoming artisans, mentor and monitor growth and professionalism, link and liaison with relevant establishment and inspire and encourage to celebrate the true spirit of craftsmanship.
