Irina Starovoytova believes that Belarus has a well-developed basis, qualified teaching staff, and curricula. Belarus is ready to assist India in this area. In 2018 Belarus joined the Skill India program initiated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This is one of the results of the work to fulfill that tasks set by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko following his visit to India in September 2017. During that visit the parties signed a memorandum of understanding on vocational education and training. Setting up the Belarusian vocational training center in India is one of the first steps towards the implementation of the memorandum.
