Punjab Minister Charanjeet Singh Channi launches “Har Ghar Rozgaar” campaign

Chandigarh : The Punjab Government has decided to organize job fests in the state in the leadership of Chief Minster Captain Amrinder Singh to fulfill the promise of ‘Har Ghar Rozgaar’ to the youth of the state. The Punjab Technical Education Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said this after a meeting with the representatives of private technical education institutes here today.

Mr. Channi said that under the Punjab Government’s mission “Har Ghar Naukri” and to create more job opportunities, job fests at various Tehsil & District levels would be organized in collaboration with Unaided Colleges, Industry and NGOs. These job fests would be organized in various Government/ Unaided Colleges of the state to provide jobs to the skilled youth of Punjab. He said that the first job fest under this initiative would be organized at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh in Tehsil Rajpura on 6th June.

Technical Education Minister, S. Charanjit Singh Channi also launched the poster of this Job Fest in the presence of Mr. Kahan Singh Pannu, IAS, Vice Chancellor IKGPTU, Jalandhar & Secretary Technical Education & Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group & President Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA).Mr. Channi further said that apart from providing good quality education it’s the responsibility of the every institution to build and develop job skills in its students so they can be placed in good companies with good packages.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group & President Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) informed the Minister that over 20 big and small companies from various corporate and industrial sectors would hire candidates for over 200 vacancies for placement in the North India. Interested candidates can register themselves on website i.e www.aryans.edu.in for free.Others prominent present on the occasion included PUCA office bearers S. Gurfateh Singh Vice President, Gurkirat Singh Joint Secretary-I, Mr. Monty Garg Malwa-II Coordinator, Mr. Sanjeev Chopra Doaba Coordinator.
