Kolar : Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Trilok Chandra said a survey and registration of unemployed youth in the district will be taken up from May 15 under the skill development campaign. Addressing a press meet on Friday, Trilok Chandra said a demand survey and registration process would be done at the same time. “A large number of youth in the district are graduates. But lack of proper skill development training is depriving them of job opportunities. The campaign aims to develop skills among youth and improve their career prospects.”
The deputy commissioner said District In-charge Minister Ramesh Kumar would launch the mobile app and website on May 15 at the zilla panchayat premises at 11 am. “Based on the survey, 5 lakh unemployed youth will be trained under the programme. Interested candidates can visit www.kaushalkar.com and enroll their names. Also one can visit employment exchange centres and taluk offices to register their names.
Trilok Chandra said the government had invited applications under Chief Minister’s Self-employment scheme to distribute loans up to Rs 10 lakh to unemployed youth for the year 2017-18. Interested can apply online at www.cmegp.kar.nic.in.
