The 3-week-long capacity building and skill development training programme under PMKVY on tailoring, beauty culture and hair dressing and mobile repairing under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) concluded at Govt. Middle School, Koloriang Town on Tuesday. It was sponsored by Union Ministry of Home (Border Management) and organized by Manghi Welfare Society, Sangram and GPTI, Aalo with the District Administration of Kurung Kumey.
Nangram Niani, ZPM, L/Koloriang suggested the trainees to use the skills and knowledge they have gained from the training gainfully. She ensured to discuss and take up the matter to concerned authority for construction of Multi-Disciplinary Training Centre at District Headquarters. She also distributed certificates and tailoring machine sets with tool and kits to 20 selected trained youth/women of Sarli, Damin and Koloriang to start their business. Certificates and tailoring machine sets with tool kits were also distributed to the 20 selected trained youth/women of Damin and Parsiparlo as beneficiaries to start-up their businesses.
Dr. Joram Anu, District Planning Officer (Nodal Officer BADP) also spoke during the function. Further, Gichik Yana, Anchal Chairperson, Parsiparlo also attended the closing function of the 3 weeks Capacity Building and Skill Development Training Programme on Tailoring under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) which ended on Monday at Govt. Secondary School, Koloriang Parsiparlo.
