Bhubaneshwar :Â Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday asked the Skill Development and Technical Education Department to make skill development programmes more vibrant and ensure that 150 youth in each gram panchayat get training as promised in the election manifesto of the BJD.
Reviewing the performance of the department at the State Secretariat here, the Chief Minister hoped that the newly created Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) will usher in qualitative improvement in the skill development programmes of the State Government. He also asked the authorities to expedite the process of setting up of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in 68 blocks, which don’t have such institutes now, at the earliest.
Skill Development and Technical Education minister Sanjay Dasburma, Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary of the department were present.
