Trichy: School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi affirmed the department’s dedication to providing innovative training and workshops to enhance the skills of school teachers and headmasters. Minister Poyyamozhi made this announcement during the inauguration of a skill development workshop organized by the Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church (TELC) in Trichy, which welcomed school teachers from various regions of the state to bolster their teaching capabilities.
Minister Poyyamozhi emphasized that it is not only the students who should continually improve their skills but also the educators themselves. Recognizing the vital role played by teachers, especially in rural areas where TELC has educational institutions, he stressed the importance of training in emerging technologies such as animation. Furthermore, the minister shared that the department has been conducting leadership skill development and innovative workshops for private school teachers to ensure the overall growth of the education sector.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to enhancing the school education sector, Minister Poyyamozhi revealed that the department has introduced and implemented 51 distinct special schemes. He also expressed his determination to address the concerns and demands raised by teachers, acknowledging that the department employs around three lakh dedicated professionals. He praised the teachers for their constructive criticism and assured them that the government remains steadfast in supporting their needs.
Minister Poyyamozhi underscored that the government is committed to fulfilling reasonable requests made by teachers. He further revealed that education department officials in districts have been directed to expedite the resolution of demands presented by minority educational institutions.
