FICSI invites EOI to empanel Food Processing Industries to impart skill training under PMKVY 4.0

Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiative (FICSI), a sector Skill Council for Food Processing Industry invites proposals from Food Processing Organisations/ Industry Associations for empanelment with FICSI for providing domain skilling and providing wage employment under Recruit-Train Deploy (RTD) model supported by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0).

The ultimate goal under this RTD initiative is to build skilled work force to cater to the specific job requirements of Food Processing industry under the national mission of Skill India. The Organisations/ Industry Association can directly partner with FICSI and can build skilled work force as per their domain requirement for meeting their needs.

The salient features of the RTD program under PMKVY 4.0:

  • Projects have the provision of recruiting the candidates and providing the offer letters and then providing Industry relevant induction training before deploying the candidates at their work location.
    For the specific purpose of RTD model, employment will mean wage employment only.
  • FICSI has developed 5 customized courses with High Employability with the course duration of 210 Hours (180 Hours of Domain Training and 30 Hours of training of Employability module), which may be used to impart skill training under the RTD mode. These job roles are approved by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training. Details about these customised Job Roles are attached as Annexure – II
  • The candidate enrolment should be as per the capacity of the Training Centre on Skill India Portal (https://skillindia.nsdcindia.org/) and E-KYC would be done for the candidates.
  • The Skill Training will be conducted within the industry premises.
  • Post completion of the skill training, FICSI will conduct the assessment & certification of the trainees and Skill India certification will be provided to the successful candidates.
  • The skill training cost subsidy of Rs. 6000 per successful candidate will be paid to the as per the PMKVY 4.0 guidelines by FICSI.
  • The duration of the programme is till June 30,2023. However, the enrolment may be completed by March 31, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria: The Food Processing Organization (FPO) complying following criteria may submit their proposal at tarun@ficsi.in in the prescribed format (Annexure – I) on the company letterhead with the interest to get empanelment with FICSI for skill training and employment in RTD model under PMKVY 4.0. 

  • The company should be operational since past 3 years.
  • Average annual Sales over past 3 years from Food Processing activities should be Rs 1 crore
  • The organisation should be having well equipped classroom for theory sessions.
  • The organization should be having valid PAN, GST, FSSAI license registration.

Note: There is no fee.
