New Delhi: Indian Hotel Academy an institute under Gautam Budh Educational Society, and an affiliated training provider of NSDC skill courses, organized Kaushal Mela under PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) at Directorate General of Home Guards, Nishkam Sewa Bhawan, CTI Complex, Raja Garden, Near Shivaji College, New Delhi on 21st August 2017.
The key focus of the event was to spread awareness about job oriented skill training under PMKVY 2.0. It also aimed to enable and mobilize a large number of youth to take up skill training and become employable and earn their livelihood. The event was attended by about 200 youth, parents and community.
The Chief Guest of the event was by Shri. Kailash Sankla, Deputy Mayor, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, along with the Special guest of honour Shri. Rajeev Babbar, Vice- President, Delhi State BJP, Smt. Sushma Chopra, Councilor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Shri. D. S. Rawat, Commandant CTI, Directorate of Home Guard, IHA Directors G P Gautam & Ms. Devipsita Gautam.
Ms. Devipsita Gautam, Director, Indian Hotel Academy encouraged the students to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and also emphasized on the skill development of youths to take up more opportunities in terms of their career and for being self-dependent. While addressing the students she said “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, the dream project of our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendera Modi, has shown a way to future hospitality aspirants to make a real skilled India and to make the Kaushal Bharat, Kushal Bharat.”
Mr. Rajeev Babbar, Vice President, Delhi State BJP appreciated the efforts of Indian Hotel Academy in organizing the Kaushal Mela for the awareness and encouragement among the youth. He said “ Nicely designed courses under PMKVY is a great choice for young generation and the career as chef, hotel front office and other emerging field helps in career growth and is a prominent way to achieve excellence in career.”
Shri. Kailash Sankla, Deputy Mayor, South Delhi Municipal Corporation also encouraged the students to do PMKVY Skill courses and assured good job and career growth in the skill based course under ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship.
Event continued with sessions like Mocktail making by Indian Hotel Academy PMKVY students of Food & Beverage Steward course followed by the students of Multi Cuisine Cook Course, who presented their skill of making salads for the guests.
Mr. G. P. Gautam, President, Indian Hotel Academy guided the youth about enrolling themselves in PMKVY courses like Front Office Associate, Food & Beverage Steward, Multi Cuisine Cook runs by the institute. He gave a complete information and guidance about the benefits and future prospects for the students in the Hospitality Industry. He focused on the great opportunity for the youth to avail the scheme benefits provided by MSDE, Government of India and the skill certification after successful completion, helps to becoming employable and earn decent livelihood.
One to one students counseling and enrollment of students took place at the event venue to help the students to enroll the candidates and to get benefit of the event. The event ended with the vote of thanks by the Director Ms. Devipshita Gautam.
